We are still looking for tenors and basses to join us this year!
Are you a new or returning student studying in London? Do you have a passion for choral music? Do you want to meet other like-minded students? If so, why not join the University of London Chamber Choir?
About us:
We are a vibrant and welcoming choir that rehearses every Tuesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at St Mary Le Strand Church under the direction of our conductor, Olivia Shotton. Each year, we present three major concerts, alongside exciting opportunities to sing evensong at prestigious venues such as Westminster Abbey and Salisbury Cathedral. The festive season brings additional joy with various carol singing events that help raise funds for the choir. We also offer enriching musical experiences, such as a recent workshop led by Harry Christophers of The Sixteen. Our repertoire spans a wide range of sacred and secular music. Recent highlights include collaborative performances of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with the University of London Symphony Orchestra and Handel’s Dixit Dominus, as well as smaller works by composers such as Elgar, Harris, Amy Beach, and Fauré.
